Chandra Kastern is originally from Northern Ontario. Her background in Massage Therapy from a clinical perspective is diverse, having worked within, and operated, multi-disciplinary clinics, private practices and health and beauty spas. More recently, Chandra managed a post-secondary institution in Calgary, Alberta, teaching throughout the programs offered, with a special interest in Research, Ethics, Professionalism, Communication and Jurisprudence.

Chandra Kastern is a Massage Therapist with over ten years of experience in practice.  Her years as a Massage Therapist have allowed her the opportunity to master a number of techniques such as:  trigger point therapy, myofascial release, positional release, strain and counterstrain, lymphatic drainage and L.A.S.T.  She enjoys treating a variety of physical conditions with a variety of techniques, tailored to each patient's stage of life, needs and goals.  She has observed much success in treatment when incorporating L.A.S.T., which stands for Ligamentous Articular Strain Technique.  

Since moving to Alberta, Chandra has filled a multitude of roles within the Massage Therapy profession including serving on the MTAA Board of Directors as Treasurer and five (5) years as President; Chair of the Canadian Massage Therapist Alliance (CMTA); Secretary of the Canadian Council of Massage Therapy Schools (CCMTS) and Chair of the Transitional Steering Committee (TSC), which is charged with the development of a schedule under the Health Professions Act, regulation policies and bylaws to enable Massage Therapy to become a regulated Health Profession in Alberta.

Chandra's aim is to provide individualized, safe and effective treatment by expanding and applying her skills as a manual therapist in treating injured soft and connective tissues.
